1 XP PC not showing in My Network Places and Networks in Windows 7
I have 3 pcs: Blackbox(XP Home),Winbox(XP Home),Laptop(Windows 7).
Blackbox can browse winbox and Laptop.Blackbox "sees" both computers in "My Network Places."
Winbox can browse "Blackbox" and "Laptop."Winbox "sees" both in MY Network Places.
Laptop can browse "Blackbox" and "Winbox."Laptop "sees" Winbox in "Networks."
Blackbox doesn't show up in Winbox's MY Network Places,or Laptop's Networks(yet it's browseable from all computers!)
Am I lucky,or what?
All computers network through a Linksys BEFRS41 wired router using DHCP.
TCPIP over Netbios is turned on.
Computer Browser Service is on
Ipconfig /all reveals no problems.
Disabling Firewall (Sunbelt Personal Firewall ) didn't help
Why might Blackbox not be showing up,yet I can access it fine from Winbox and Laptop?

Solution to 1 XP PC not showing in My Network Places and Networks in Windows 7:
Shut down the programs which are running in the background - 1 XP PC not showing in My Network Places and Networks in Windows 7
Part of the reason why old desktop take so long to start and various errors is because of all the applications you've installed. Reducing the number of applications which start-up when Windows boots enables you to get to the desktop faster and increases the memory available.
Press Windows+R and type msconfig and click Ok. Select the Services tab, tick 'Hide all Microsoft services' and see what's left. There may be services you can live without and clearing the tick box prevents them from running. For example, Firefox works perfectly well without the Mozilla Maintenance Service. On the Startup tab (click Task Manager in Windows 8), are lots of programs that start with Windows. Knowing what to disable isn't easy, but you can use Google to search for items and see if they are necessary, useful or neither of those.
System Restore - 1 XP PC not showing in My Network Places and Networks in Windows 7
